Welcome to the Creative Mornings Charlotte podcast. Today’s show features hosts Tim Miner and Matt Olin speaking with Charlotte artist Jessica Moss two weeks following the March 8 Creative Mornings Charlotte event at NoDa Brewing Company, where Jessica spoke about the global theme of “Water.”
As an ardent advocate for artists, communities of color and accessible arts education, Jessica Moss is the Founder and Director of The Roll Up, a national network of art incubators embedded in neighborhoods mired in persistent poverty and concentrated disadvantage. In addition to her projects that engage art and real property as a strategy of community revival, Jessica is an educator, writer and independent consultant.
In this episode of the Creative Mornings Charlotte podcast, Jessica talks about her roles in The Roll Up and BLKMRKT CLT, as well as the barriers to creativity, building social capital and her work in real estate.
Register for the next Creative Mornings Charlotte event Friday, April 5 at 8:30 a.m. at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. The featured speaker will be multidisciplinary artist MyLoan Dinh, speaking about the global theme of “Inclusive”. RSVPs will open at 9 a.m., Monday, April 1.
