The Biscuit CLT Podcast

Dec 10, 2018

Welcome to the #CharlotteIsCreative podcast. Today’s show features hosts Tim Miner and Matt Olin speaking with Dr. Stephanie Cooper-Lewter, immediately following the December 7 Creative Mornings Charlotte event at Laca Projects, where Dr. Cooper-Lewter spoke about the global theme of “Tradition.”

Dr. Stephanie Cooper-Lewter is Executive Director of Leading on Opportunity, charged with addressing the finding that Charlotte ranks last among the 50 largest U.S. cities in upward mobility. In this episode of the Charlotte is Creative Podcast, Dr. Cooper-Lewter talks about the importance of expanding social capital, the benefits of expanding our definition of family, and what it was like to prepare her Creative Mornings speech with her daughter Courtney.

Register for the next Creative Mornings Charlotte event Friday, January 4 at 8:30 a.m. The featured speaker will be Stacy Smith of Tattoo Me Stacy fame, speaking about the global theme of “Surreal”.  RSVPs will open at 9 a.m., Monday, December 31.

Don’t forget to use the hashtag #CharlotteIsCreative, and tweet us @CM_CLT whenever you see Charlotteans showing their creativity.
